Well, Korean has more scope in various sectors of the world. I am here to throw some light on the subject and remind me that learning Korean is indeed NOT a waste of your time!
Here are 5 reasons why you should learn Korean Language :
1. It opens up a new culture
When you study a new language, it opens doors to a completely new culture and seeing the world. Apart from learning the language you will also be introduced to the rich Hangul history, it’s geography, food and the habits of the people.
2. The script is very easy
The Hangul script is extremely easy to master and does not follow the same alphabets as the English Language. Here is a picture for you to get an idea of the alphabets in the language! Aren’t they so simple?
3. You will finally know what your Oppas are trying to say
Are you a Korean Drama fan? Do you want to be able to understand what your Korean Oppas and Unnies are trying to say without subtitles? Then you’re definitely someone who must learn Korean!
4. You can travel to Korea without feeling like an outsider
Well, travelling to Korea already makes you feel like an outsider with their high beauty standards but atleast the language barrier would be bridged without you left to feel like you are any different from the rest of the Hangul Speakers!

When you learn something new, you are always expanding your horizon as new information helps you see the world in an improved manner! Any new language comes with a new style and technique and this would help you immensely in evolving as a human being!
and BONUS!
6. You will be able to make better use of your left brain!
When it comes to learning a language it has been said that we make use of our Left Brain to comprehend what it is that we are learning! We also use the left brain to understand Math so learning a Language definitely amplifies your problem-solving skills as well as accelerates the logical side of your brain!
7. You will be able to consume new media (books, stories, films, poetry)
The 2020 Oscars witnessed the Best Film Award being swooped away by a Korean Director for the film — Parasite. The youth all around the world are swooning over the world’s most popular band — BTS which also happens to be Korean! As you open yourself to learning Hangul, you’ll also be opening your world to a new way of thinking with a wide array of media that can be consumed!
